Story Starters Write Abouts Grades 1-3

The Story Starters get young writers writing with these suggestions that focus on setting (where and/or when the story happens)- character (who the story is about)- and plot (what happens in the story). Beginning writers can use just one or two elements as a story starter. More advanced writers can select a page from each of the sections to create combinations that are sure to capture their imaginations and get their pencils moving! There are 25 different ideas within each section (setting- character- plot) waiting to be mixed and matched in a story yet to be written!
