Incredible Kids and Unprecedented Times
Adjust to a New Routine and Explore the World without Leaving the House!
Your students may be cooped up at home for the foreseeable future! We know how kiddos (and parents) are feeling about being at home for so long.
There have been many tears in our family - for us, it was a canceled college graduation across the country.
Millions of kids are out of traditional school settings, away from friends, with schedules turned upside down. Many of you are dealing with heartbroken kids, some too young to really be able to understand the "why".
Today, we want to provide you with resources to help ease your kiddos into this new experience.
Below we have a sample Daily Schedule that is FREE to download. You can use the schedule we created, or print the blank schedule to create your own. We find there is something comforting in creating routines, and we hope your kiddos will, too.
Don't forget to add virtual field trips to your schedule! The less we distance ourselves, the longer we'll be cooped up. So, we are sharing with you some of our favorite digital field trips! Kick back, relax, and click on your favorite adventure - or experience something new!
The San Diego Zoo: This is a great tour for learning about animals, but more importantly, for smiles, as you visit animals both big and small!
Yellowstone National Park: If all this being cooped up is making you pine for fresh fall weather (and hopefully vacation), Yellowstone National Park is a great place to start! Explore one of our most well-known national parks and while you're at it, maybe plan a vacation for when this is all behind us!
Virtual Farm Tour: While you may be hard-pressed to find milk at the grocery store with all the fresh food shortages, you can learn all about how milk gets to the grocery store, on this virtual field trip to a farm!
See a Broadway Musical: Always wanted to see a musical? Now you can watch from the comfort of your living room! BroadwayHD is offering a seven-day free trial!
Mars: Last, if you need a good escape from news on our planet, take a virtual trip to Mars! No spacesuit required.
